Entered by the JW Automotive team with iconic Gulf livery, the driver pairing of Pedro Rodriguez and Leo Kinnunen qualified a respectable fifth.  Running solidly in third, Kinnunen heroically poured on the speed on the last lap, taking second place to the #12 908/3, finishing more than 2 minutes ahead of the third place Ferrari, setting a lap record in the process.
